Album Cover: Drake ‘Nothing Was The Same’

drake-nothing-was-the-same-album-coverThough his album ‘Nothing Was The Same’ has been pushed back a week from its previous release date of September 17 to September 24, Drake pushes on ahead and blessed the internet today with a dual photo of the LP cover.

Sharing with fans the Standard and Deluxe covers which was painted, yes hand painted by Southern California artist Kadir Nelson, the cover depicts a baby Drake rocking an afro and a more mature Drake on the Deluxe edition.

But who is Kadir Nelson? Nelson’s name is a familar one in the art world; he’s had numerous successful exhibitions and has been commissioned by the United States House of Representatives, the U.S. Postal Service, Michael Jackson himself, Sports Illustrated, Coca-Cola, and Dreamworks.
